Sigma Nu Members Honored By The Order Of Omega Chapter

The Order of Omega chapter at The University of Alabama presented awards to students and faculty at its recent annual banquet. Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for members of fraternity and sorority organizations. Order of Omega recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership and involvement within their respective organizations, the campus and the community.

The Sigma Nu Honorees include:

Outstanding Freshman: Bart Harrison Adams Jr., Selma;

Outstanding Sophomore: Vincent Zicarelli, Birmingham.

Outstanding Greek Male: Matt Murray, Montgomery

Outstanding Fraternity President: Clyde Early Yelverton III, Dothan

Robert Armstrong’s G Mommas Southern Style Bite Sized Cookies From Selma Good

Theta chapter alumnus Robert Armstrong graduated from Alabama in 2008 and started Selma Good in 2009 after quitting a job in Birmingham and moving back to Selma. Sigma Nu Theta Chapter Awarded Manpower Award By The Sigma Nu General Fraternity

Congratulations to the active chapter and alumni of the Theta Chapter of Sigma Nu for being awarded the Manpower Award for the 2012-2013 academic year by the Sigma Nu General Fraternity.

Each year, Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. recognizes those chapters that excel in the areas of recruitment and manpower. The Manpower award is given to the chapters who have achieved a manpower of above 100 men.

Sigma Nu Wins Dance Competition During Greek Week

This past week (March 4th-7th) was Greek Week at the University of Alabama. One of our favorite aspects of Greek Week is the famous dance off, which is where all fraternities and sororities compete in a dance off. Pictured below are the freshman that brought Sigma Nu the win: James Blackwood, Matthew Gude, Sam Parker, Tate Thomas, Whit Joseph, and John Kurzydlo.

Sigma Nu’s Help Habitat for Humanity

It is important to Sigma Nu to help give back to the community we live in. Heads and Tails Rush Weekend March 8-9th

Sigma Nu is hosting a rush event March 8th and 9th. Friday the 8th there will be a band party starting at 11 P.M in the Sigma Nu band room. Saturday there will be a crawfish boil at the Sigma Nu house starting at 2 P.M. Saturday night there will be another band party in the Sigma Nu band room starting at 11 P.M.
